Hello My Name Is...

Sam Hadaway, ATC,CSCS


Sam is from Gray, Georgia and is married to Melissa Hadaway of Covington, Georgia. Sam and Melissa have three wonderful children, Colt (17) and Chase (15) and Charleigh (9). Sam completed his undergraduate studies at Valdosta State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned his B.S. in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training. He became Nationally Certified and State Licensed as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) in 2005. He is also certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). The first 6 years of Sam’s career were spent working at Piedmont Sports Medicine Complex and Ortho Georgia in Macon, GA where he provided physical therapy to outpatient orthopedic patients and provided outreach athletic training services to local high schools. The following 6 years, Sam had the opportunity to serve as both the Director of Sports Medicine as well as the Director of Sports Performance Training for Providence Christian Academy while employed by Gwinnett Medical Center in Duluth, Georgia. Sam moved back to the middle Georgia area in 2016 and worked in the industrial setting as the Head Athletic Trainer for Frito Lay in Kathleen, Georgia and Wabash-Supreme in Griffin, Georgia as an Injury Prevention and Ergonomic Specialist while also providing on-site injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation as well as Workman’s Compensation case management. Last year, Sam was the Head Athletic Trainer for Jasper County Charter System in Monticello, Georgia. Sam is proud to have the opportunity to join Hutchings College and Career Academy as the instructor for the new Sports Medicine pathway while also serving as the District Athletic Trainer for Bibb County public schools.
